How to Connect Stripe to Accept Credit Card Payments

Modified on Tue, 6 Feb at 9:50 AM

Stripe is an easy tool made to allow you to accept credit card payments on your online store in just a few simple clicks. After adding the information needed, Stripe will accept payments by credit card and deposit them into your bank account. It's as easy as that!

1. In the project detail select Store Settings and Payment methods.

2. The second option for adding Stripe is through the editor. First, click on Settings.

3. Choose the Online store tab and then click Set up under Payment methods.

4. Your existing payment methods will open. Click Add new method.

8. Your Stripe account is now connected to your online store! If you would like, enter a price for this payment method in the 2nd field Price. If you would also like to add tax to this payment method, enter the price excluding tax in the 3rd field and choose what tax rate you would like to have.

Processing payouts

Transfers of payments from the Stripe account to your bank account take place according to the selected payout schedule, which you set in the Dashboard in your Stripe account. In the dashboard, you can change the payout schedule and find an overview of transfers from Stripe to your account.

The first payout usually takes a little longer to establish the Stripe account. Processing subsequent payouts then happens according to your account’s payout schedule. You can find more about receiving payments here.
